Our Story

Welcome to our wedding website! We wanted to write a little story about how we fell in love. We have known each other since we were kids at the Greek Orthodox Church in Birmingham, AL. Stephanie, along with her family, always sat a row behind Peter and his family in church. We Greek danced together for the church, as well as participated in the church youth group together. We have always been friends and even dated a little while we were in high school in 2005. Not long after, we went our separate ways to different colleges in 2006 and 2007. Stephanie attended The University of South Carolina and Peter went to Auburn University. We kept in touch from time to time while away. We reconnected in 2015 when Stephanie decided she would attend Jefferson State's Veterinary Technology program in Birmingham, AL. At this time, Peter was still in veterinary school at Auburn. As most of you know, we both share a love for animals and we love working in the veterinary field.

If you don't believe it is fate for us already, then here is an interesting side story. When Stephanie moved into the house in Birmingham that her Yiayia (grandmother in Greek) left to her, she found something very special in her Yiayia's night stand. There was a framed picture of Stephanie and Peter at Stephanie's homecoming in 2005. Needless to say, I believe our grandparents were trying to play matchmakers in heaven. So, the story continues...

Stephanie decided to work at Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic in Birmingham while in school. Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic was also where Peter got all of his veterinary experience for several years before heading off to Auburn's veterinary school. It wasn't long after we first reconnected when Peter asked Stephanie to go to Avondale Brewery for drinks and a night out on July 1st, 2015. Soon after, Peter asked Stephanie to go out to dinner during a short stay in Birmingham. Stephanie was a little hesitant at first because she had always been friends with Peter and didn't know what to expect. We were both a little nervous and scared to take the leap, but we always knew we could trust each other with our hearts, and with some gentle convincing by friends and family, we went on our first official date. We can definitely say that we are both so happy that we took the leap together. Our love has grown into something that can never be broken. We truly believe God has brought us back together and we are all so excited to celebrate our love and marriage with all of you in December!
